Joining CTAA

Thank you for considering joining the Community Transportation Association of America (CTAA). We know how valuable both your time and your resources are - and we appreciate the confidence you've placed in our Association. Here's what you can expect from CTAA:

Membership Descriptions

Transportation Provider

Categories: If your organization directly or indirectly provides transportation services to the general public or specific groups or clientele, please join one of the following Transportation Provider Categories. We understand that many CTAA members may be able to rightly fit into several provider categories, and ask you to select the single category that most thoroughly represents your organization.

  • Rural: Transit providers for whom Section 5311 funding is the single largest source of federal transit investment or who primarily serve communities below 50,000 population.
    Price: Base dues of $250 plus $25 for every vehicle operated in revenue service up to a maximum of $3,000.

  • Small Urban: Urban fixed-route bus operators that primarily serve communities with populations greater than 50,000.
    Price: Base dues of $500 plus $25 for every vehicle operated in revenue service up to a maximum of $5,000.

  • Non-Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT): Mobility providers serving the non-emergency medical transportation market. These operators can be private, for profit, nonprofit or public entities.
    Price: Base dues of $250 plus $25 for every vehicle operated in revenue service up to a maximum of $3,000.

  • Specialized: Transit agencies primarily focused on serving older adults and people with disabilities and for whom Section 5310 funding is the single largest source of federal transit investment. Volunteer-based transportation agencies often fit into this category.

  • Tribal: Transit providers serving Native American tribes and their members, regardless of trip purpose or funding source.

Mobility Partner

Categories: The following CTAA membership categories are for agencies and individuals who do not directly or indirectly operate passenger transportation vehicles.

  • Federal and State Agencies: All types of federal and state agencies that work in or benefit from the public and community transportation field - i.e. Departments of Transportation, Labor, Health and Human Services, Education, Commerce, etc.
    Price: $500

  • State and Regional Transit Associations: Associations of public and community transportation providers organized at the state and regional level.

  • Partner Organizations: Businesses and organizations that benefit from the provision of public and community transportation but that do not either directly or indirectly operate vehicles, i.e. private-sector organizations, transportation brokers, hospitals/clinics, United Way agencies, universities/schools, planning bodies, TMAs, technology firms, consultant groups, foundations, etc.
    Price: $500

  • Exhibitors/Vendors/Suppliers: Organizations that provide products and services to the public and community transportation field and who may seek to exhibit their products and services at CTAA conferences.
    Price: $500 for organizations who exhibit at the CTAA EXPO Annual Conference and $700 for those that do not exhibit.

  • Mobility Managers: Individuals who work in the mobility management field.
    Price: $25 for mobility managers at CTAA-member organizations and $100 for those at non-member organizations.
