National Community Transportation Roadeo

2012 National Community Transportation Roadeo Results

The 2012 National Community Transportation Roadeo has finished. The winner in the van division and the Otis Reed Q'Straint/Sure-Lok Driver of the Year was Ron Stewart from the Baldwin Rural Area Transportation System of Robertsdale, Ala. The winner of the BOC division was Felix Vitandi from the Central Texas Rural Transit District of Coleman, Texas.

The National Community Transit Roadeo is the only national venue to honor and celebrate the value of rural and community transit operators, the backbone of the Community Transportation industry. This exciting event draws drivers from around the country to compete for top scores on course that tests skills on every level of the drivers' abilities. After the morning's competition, the scores are tabulated and results are announced at the Roadeo Awards Banquet that night. At stake are top honors of Body-on-Chassis Champion, Van Champion, and Community Transportation Driver of the Year. The event is open to the public, so Drivers -- bring your fan club!

On Sunday, May 20, we will celebrate the Twenty-fourth Annual National Community Transportation Roadeo. As always, the event features the best community and public transportation drivers in the nation, followed by a banquet in their honor and awards to the top competitors. The Roadeo consists of a written test, obstacle course and safety skills demonstration. Any community or public transit driver can enter.
