Livability and Sustainability in Community Transportation: What's That?

Wednesday, May 23
3:15-4:45 p.m.
Room: Baltimore Convention Center, Room 323

There are many diverse success stories in how partnerships with transportation have helped make communities more vibrant, sustainable, and economically successful places. Some of these stories come out of the federal Partnership for Sustainable Communities, but many come from the places themselves. Hear about the positive experiences from Randolph County, W.Va., and the Lower Eastern Shore of Maryland, and find ways you can replicate success in your own community.

Moderator: Carrie Kissel, National Association of Development Organizations, Washington, D.C.
Presenter: Michael Pennington, Tri-County Council for the Lower Eastern Shore of Maryland, Salisbury, Md.
Presenter: Kate Somers, Highland Community Builders, Elkins, W.V.
