Advancing Safety and Security: The CTAA/FTA Partnership in Action

As the old saying goes, "safety is job one." This session will take a look at the ongoing partnership between the Federal Transit Administration and the Community Transportation Association to develop and implement an industry-directed bus safety program that meets national objectives for safety and maintains local oversight over operations. Panelists will discuss the importance of the FTA/CTAA memorandum of understanding on bus safety and the Certified Safety and Security Management and the Community Transportation Safety and Security Accreditation programs developed from this MOU.
