New to Expo 2018 - Speed Networking with the Vendors

Tuesday, June 12

For many attendees, CTAA's Community Transportation EXPO provides a prime, annual opportunity to see the latest and greatest in transit products and services. Time and again, attendees tell us that EXPO's trade fair is where informed purchasing decisions are made.

New at EXPO 2018, our Speed Networking event will make these vital attendee-vendor connections and conversations both easier - and fun! Scheduled for Tuesday, June 12, our Speed Networking event is your chance to talk directly to the vendors, get your questions answered, and learn about new products in a focused, one-on-one, 5-minute session. Here's why we're so excited about this new EXPO event:

  • If you decide you need to know more, you can schedule time during the EXPO trade fair hours to meet with that exhibitor.
  • If the product or service doesn't meet your needs, you've only lost 5 minutes of your time.

Best of all, this session is free to all EXPO participants - all you need to do is check the box on the registration form indicating you'd like to participate in the Speed Networking event. Once registered for the EXPO, you'll receive easy instructions on how to complete your profile and when to expect your personalized schedule of 5-minute exhibitor conversations. Attendance at the event is limited, so sign up soon via the normal conference registration and select Speed Networking under additional items.

Trade Fair Dinner and Lunch

Tuesday, June 12 (dinner) and Wednesday, June 13 (lunch)
With more than 100 exhibitors, the EXPO Trade Fair is the place to see the latest equipment and hear about new services for the community and public transportation industry. This year, to make the Trade Fair even better, we will be serving two meals as part of the Trade Fair experience. Join our vendors and your colleagues for dinner on Tuesday, June 12 and for lunch on Wednesday, June 13.

Pecha Kucha

Wednesday, June 13 - An informal Evening of Crowd-sourced Presentations
Have you ever had an idea you wanted to share with your colleagues at EXPO, but it's not quite enough for a workshop session? Or are you in the market for quick, innovative and fun ideas presented in smaller, snapshot doses? On Wednesday, June 13, our fourth crowd-sourced event at EXPO employs the Pecha Kucha format of a set number of slides with pre-set timing for each slide, with each presentation running no more than 7 minutes.

We'll take you out of the standard conference meeting room to a less formal setting with light hos d'oeuvres and beverages-for-purchase after the regular EXPO program has wrapped for the day.

You'll hear your counterparts from across the community and public transportation industry briefly share the attention-grabbing high notes of their latest innovations and strategies, hopefully bringing the funny at the same time. Have a fun, unique topic you'd like to share in the Pecha Kucha format? Humorists strongly invited to apply! Just send Rich Sampson a note at sampson@ctaa.org with your idea.
